Photography course for beginners with girish menon

This basic course in photography consists of three sessions. The total course duration is ten hours. The sessions will be scheduled as per your convenient times on either weekdays or weekends.

This workshop is designed for DSLR, mirrorless, and bridge camera users. Please get in touch with me through my contact page and I will provide you more details.

Do you remember the first photo you made with a professional camera? Were you fully satisfied with the results? Or were they either too dark (underexposed), too bright (overexposed), out of focus, or shaky?

We make pictures in our mind before we make them in the camera. Wouldn't it be great if our camera could read our minds and replicate the images in it? Google may one day accomplish this, but it hasn't done so yet!

In the meantime, we can learn how to bring the images in our mind into a camera—we can learn how to use a camera in the Manual-mode. Let me help you with that...

The manual mode gives us complete mastery over our camera—so no more underexposed, overexposed, out of focus, and shaky photos.

I’m sure you have seen many photos where the main subject is sharp, but the background is out of focus. Don’t they look cool? They call it the portrait mode on a smartphone. This is called depth of field—which according to me is the most important facet of photography.

You can easily do this more effectively on any professional camera. I follow an all-practical approach—you will learn by doing. You will be using your camera, creating pictures and seeing great results throughout your time with me.

Auto-focus modes
