Thank you for thinking about my photography workshops and learning wildlife photography from me. Let’s see if we’re a good fit. I only offer workshops through video calls, not in person. The good news is you can join from anywhere with your camera gear and a computer.

Who should learn photography from me?

I focus on wildlife photography and enjoy helping people, especially in midlife, find creative ways to relieve stress and relax. I do this by:

a) Helping you connect with nature,
b) Bringing excitement about your future, and
c) Sparking your creativity through photography.

When I want to learn something new, I prefer a one-on-one mentor. It’s the quickest and most effective way to learn, with immediate, relevant results. That’s why I’ve been offering one-on-one photography workshops since 2007.

My students say they benefit from the personal attention and the joy they experience by connecting with nature and exploring their creative side. Many of my students are professionals like doctors, bankers, and lawyers who need a creative outlet to balance their busy lives.

For school and university students > My experience includes teaching “Lighting and Digital Photography” to undergraduate students at SNDT Women’s University in Mumbai as a visiting faculty member, where I also set exam papers. I’ve also led professional workshops for school and college students at institutions such as IIT Bombay, Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies, Sophia College for Women, S.M. Shetty College, Anna Leela College, American School of Bombay, Witty International School, VIBGYOR (Mumbai and Pune), and Bishop’s School Pune.

If you’re a student starting with photography, I’d be happy to help. I’ll teach you the basics in a clear way that will:

a) Using your camera in manual mode so automatic settings don’t limit your creativity,
b) Inspiring you to express yourself, and
c) Making photography a part of your daily life.

What will I teach you?

Here’s a simple guide for photographing in manual mode:

1. Check the light – Is it low or bright? Adjust the ISO based on the available light.

2. Decide on background blur – Set the aperture value for the desired depth of field.

3. Set the focus – Choose the focus area and set the focus point.

4. Adjust exposure – Set the shutter speed using the exposure scale.

5. Check shutter speed – Ensure it’s fast enough to avoid shaky images. Adjust ISO or aperture if needed.

6. Initial settings – Choose image formats, metering modes, autofocus mode, burst mode for action photos, colour presets, and white balance.

7. Understand technical terms – Learn about megapixels, sensor types (full frame or APS-C), resolution, and dpi.

With these settings in place, you’re ready to compose and take your photo!

What is the duration of the course?

Both my basic and wildlife photography workshops have four one-on-one sessions, each of 90 minutes, via video calls. You should take at least four days between sessions to complete your assignments. You will have up to six weeks to complete the course.
